Parent Testimonial
PARENT TESTIMONIAL ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I wanted to share our experience with the Cogmed and Fast ForWord program and the positive impact it has had on my son, particularly in his speech, comprehension, and confidence.
When we first started the program, he refused to participate and really disliked it. There were moments when I felt like giving up because I wasn’t sure whether we would get anywhere. However, we decided to persist and worked hard to turn the experience into something positive and encouraging for him.
Looking back, I am so glad we did not give up.
As he continued with the program, I began to notice improvements in his speech and comprehension. It has been encouraging to see him develop and become more confident in his ability to understand, process information, and communicate.
However, the most powerful moment for me was when he completed his first program. He was so proud of himself. I remember being overwhelmed with emotion and brought to tears because, for the first time, I experienced him feeling genuinely proud of something he had accomplished.
I don’t think I had fully understood how much that feeling of success meant to him until that moment. Seeing his pride made me realise that this was about so much more than completing a program. It was about helping him believe in himself and showing him that he was capable of achieving something that had initially seemed difficult and overwhelming.
As a parent, that moment was incredibly meaningful. It reminded me that sometimes the progress we see on the outside is only part of the story. The confidence, determination, and sense of achievement a child develops along the way can be just as important.
Our experience with Cogmed and Fast ForWord program has been a positive one, and I am grateful that we persevered through the initial challenges. I hope that sharing our experience may encourage other families who are struggling at the beginning of the program not to give up too quickly. With patience, encouragement, and the right support, what initially seems impossible can become an opportunity for growth and achievement.
Most importantly, I am proud of my son and how far he has come.
